Support for PhD candidates
Information about supervision, coaching and confidential counseling.
- Promotor
In the first place PhD candidates are supported by their promoter. He or she supervises the research and gives advice. PhD candidates can always turn to the scientific director of the Institute for additional support.
- Coaching and Intervision
The HRM advisors of the faculty of Science, Marlon van Leeuwen and Kick Moors, offer coaching and arrange intervision sessions in case of a work-related problem that is not about the scientific content but about personal issues. Coaching and intervision is offered as part of the PhD training programme.
- Confidential counselor
If the PhD candidate encounters a problem situation that he or she finds difficult to raise to the promoter or scientific director of the Institute the PhD candidate can turn to the confidential counselor of the faculty of Science, Jacqueline van Duijn.
- Coordinator Graduate school Office
For support on administrative issues PhD candidates can contact the coordinator of the Graduate School Office, Hylke Bosma.
