January 2012 - Maurijn van der Zee wins teaching award 2011
Evolutionary Biologist Maurijn van der Zee was elected Teacher of the Year 2011 by the students of the Science Faculty. In a short period of time, Dr. Van der Zee became a significant teacher in Evolutionary Biosciences.

The Educational Board praises his infectious enthusiasm and great overview across biology. His lectures motivate students to think independently. Maurijn received his award and flowers on the 9th of January at the new years reception of the Science Faculty and he will start as assistant professor on a tenure track position at the IBL on the 1st of February.
