Completion of the specialisation requires a minimum of 40 and up to a maximum of 60 EC, acquired through following SBB courses and doing an SBB internship. Clicking on the above links will bring you to the corresponding page on the “mastersinleiden” website of Leiden University, where you can find further information on admission requirements and procedures.Electives (MSc)
The course SBB Fundamentals (15 EC) and the RBB courses Opportunities, Ventures and Planning (5 EC each) can, in general, be followed as electives in each of the above mentioned Science Research MSc programmes. Following these courses as an elective early on in your two-year MSc programme keeps an option open for completing the full SBB Specialisation. In other words: You do not have to immediately decide to do the SBB Specialisation when you enrol into a Science Research MSc programme at Leiden University. You can make this decision later on, when you have experienced for yourself what scientific research and SBB are about.Minor (BSc)
Science BSc students can follow the 30 EC Minor Science & Research Based Business. This Minor consists of the foundation courses of both the SBB and RBB Programme. The Minor can also be followed by students from other universities than Leiden University. This also includes students from abroad, since the Minor, like all SBB courses, is given in English. In fact, following this Minor may be a good opportunity to get to know Leiden and to see if it suits you to do a Science Research Master with (or without) the SBB Specialisation at Leiden University. You can find an overview of all programmes and courses at the Programme page.
